When – in 1992 – we found the Bromo in a very deplorable state, we should not have started this enormous project. But when we found some details bringing us back in our family history, we could not but go ahead and restore her.
She was entirely decayed and there was serious rot in every part of her. Little of the original interior panelling was intact and her electrics were 1960's. It was difficult to decide where to begin and which result to envisage.
We found some original drawings but since she was so deteriorated, it was by far better to rebuild and start from scratch. So we did. Totally bare to her ribs, complete new hull, insolated, 3,2 kilometers wiring, beautiful 200 years old oak flooring, mahogany panelling, first class fittings, an entirely new teak deck was laid, and all was done we could think of to make her the most beautiful classic motor yacht imaginable. We succeeded. People stare at her when she passes by.
However, she has to move on and to look for a pair of loving hands to lead her through the next decades. Press contact for more information.
